Our story
Tsogolo is a Chichewa word meaning “future”. In 2026 we founded Tsogolo Kinderzentrum Malawi in Hagen, Germany – people united by one conviction: a country’s future lies with its youngest children.
In Malawi, early childhood support still fails to reach many children, and children with disabilities are often left out entirely. We want to change that – not with pity, but with partnership, expertise and staying power.
Vision and mission
Vision
A Malawi where every child – regardless of disability, background or income – has access to quality early education and the chance to thrive.
Mission
We build futures for children in Malawi: through early childhood education, the inclusion of children with disabilities and targeted school support – together with local partners.
Our values
- Child-centred
- The child’s wellbeing, dignity and development come first.
- Inclusion
- Every child belongs – including children with disabilities.
- Safeguarding
- All staff, volunteers and partners commit to binding child-safeguarding standards.
- Partnership
- We work with communities and local partners, not over their heads.
- Sustainability
- We strengthen local structures that last.
- Accountability
- Every euro is traceable; we report every year.
- Compassion
- We meet people with respect and solidarity.
